Come and hear Francisco “Chico” Whitaker, a Brazilian
thinker, an activist and a pioneer in new ways of organising
diverse groups interested in creating a just world. He has
worked with Bishop Helder Camara and Paulo Freire and is a
member of the Executive Secretariat of the Brazilian Commission
for Justice and Peace of the Bishop’s Conference. As
a key founder of the World Social Forum, Chico Whitaker has
worked for many years strategising how diverse Church groups
engage with the world in creating civil society.
