"Building a New Apostolate"

A New Pentecost Forum event hosted by Cardijn Community International (CCI) (www.cardijn.info)

"The world of today! Everyone – men of science, businessmen, statesmen, churchmen, the Pope himself – agree to call it a new world, a world which is at a decisive turning point in its history; all declare that we are present at the birth of a new world.

This new world needs a new apostolate, new, not in its source and in the contents of its message, but an incarnate apostolate, adapted to the needs and the problems of this new world"

- Joseph Cardijn 1951

The Cardijn Community will observe this year's New Pentecost with the theme of 'Building a new apostolate'.

"Let Pentecost be a day to rededicate ourselves. Let us invoke the Holy Spirit to guide us in building a new apostolate, an incarnate apostolate responding to the needs and problems of transforming the world today."
